I founded Psybersquare, Inc. with President Mark Sichel and CEO Daniel Strauss. Its primary asset,, was a mental health and wellness site intended to foster strength and health through community and self-help. After receiving $140,000 in angel-funding, we collaborated to envision Phase II of a dynamic, multimedia enriched web and wireless application that would deliver contextualized and personalized information about mental health and wellness. We shopped our business plan to VCs, while cultivating strategic partnerships with other companies in the space. Unfortunately, the industry bottomed-out around this time, and the funds that had sustained operations for a year finally dried up. My partners and I reluctantly abandoned the venture in pursuit of other opportunities.

As Vice President of Development for Psybersquare, Inc., my primary responsibilities were to improve the quality of the existing site, increase traffic to the site, collaborate to envision Phase II of, assist in drafting/pitching the new business plan and foster/maintain strategic partnerships. Towards these ends I:
  • conceptualized, produced and maintained all new content modules, features and graphics.
  • copyedited, co-wrote or wrote all articles in the 200+ library of Psybersquare articles.
  • enhanced and maintained community functionality.
  • restructured existing design/architecture to enhance usability and set the stage for database integration.
  • managed team of 8 freelancers: editorial, programming and design.
  • increased traffic to the site over 200% in less than a year.
  • collaborated to envision Phase II product offering.
  • authored User Experience components of Phase II business plan.
  • assisted in drafting/editing remaining components of Phase II business plan.
  • created PowerPoint presentations for pitch meetings.
  • participated in pitch meetings.
  • drafted RFPs for the build of Phase II.
  • initiated and maintained content syndication deals with organizations including,,, and
  • created and placed ad banners with partner sites.
  • designed, architected, coded and produced Holiday Help Guide: Thanksgiving and Holiday Help Guide: Season's Greetings, two collaborative projects between and
  • implemented affiliate commerce programs.
  • collaborated with DirectMD and Rethinkinc to define and develop a rolled-up product offering: a mental/physical health triage service slated to be integrated into a stand-alone medical scheduling tool.
